1: Radiohead: The King of Limbs (duh. Although this is their 5th best album in my opinion)
2: Fleet Foxes: Helplessness Blues. I cannot get enough of this band.
3: Iron & Wine: Kiss Each Other Clean
4: Gorillaz: The Fall
5: DJ Shadow: The Less You Know, the Better
6: The Decemberists: The King is Dead
7: Adele: 21
8: Cold War Kids: Mine is Yours
9: Lykke Li: Wounded Rhymes
10: Feist: Metals

I don't think I could rank these but here's my fav's of the year...
- Tune-Yards- whokill
- Fucked Up- David Comes to Life
- EMA- Past Life Martyred Saints
- The Weeknd- House of Balloons
- WU-LYF- Go Tell Fire to the Mountain
- Lykke Li- Wounded Rhymes
- Esben and the Witch- Violet Cries
- Zola Jesus- Conatus (more of the year I discovered Zola Jesus. her stuff was on constant rotation in my studio over the summer)
- Grouper- AIA: Alien Observer
- Ty Segall- Goodbye Bread- fav reissues: Disco Inferno- the 5 eps, Beach Boys- Smile, Void-
Sessions 1981–83, and Archers of Loaf- Icky Mettle*the act that radio killed for me: Adele. I really liked 21 until it started playing constantly at the day job.
*overrated: Bon Iver. It's an okay album. Two steps away from being a Micheal McDonald record. There was a lot of mediocre surf rock and bad 80's retread this year. I will shoot the radio if I hear 'Pumped up Kicks'.Posted 4 months ago # -
