Hmmm. Well I've seen all of these in Columbus. Though the only place I've seen cake pops is at Starbucks.

I guess this confirms my assertion that Columbus is a great and innovative food town!

It grosses me out, at least. Not a fan of cured/smoked stuff. Plus it's hardly a new thing on the scene.

I've *made* cake pops. They are a pain in the ass to make.

I love all of these - and now I want Knead's brussel sprouts. So. Good.

My wife loves the ones at Skillet. I'm still not a fan.

I think what's new about charcuterie is the number of people who are doing their own. The world is filling with sausage makers.

I think these are all *food fetish* trends.

The coolest food trend for me is people growing their own food and eating it at their own dinner table.

That seems so much more cutting edge than cake pops...

Chinese buffet on Henderson

Coffee
Sam Adams Octoberfest

I like the personal trends list.

Up:
Beef tenderloin ( at least one a week ).
Candied bacon ( at least a pound a week, mostly given away ).
Jamón ibérico ( rare treat, but damn is this good ).
Coffee.

Out:
Dessert.
Bread.
