Already! Turn your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night. I didn't realize it was so soon.

It just feels wrong that it will be light later and still so freakin' cold outside!

Grahr. I just got used to having the sun barely up when I left for work. Now? Back to the dark. Poo.

You guys don't like having more light in the evenings? No. Sun setting later = a warmer house at bedtime. If we keep on the same time zone the outside air will be cooler by bedtime and I can simply open the windows to cool the house instead of running the AC to get it cool enough to sleep.
Recent studies have shown that daylight savings time reduces the energy used for electric lights, but increases the energy used for cooling. In my case this is very true. I set the thermostat high in the day so it doesn't run as much, and then wait for the sun to set before starting the cooling cycle for the sake of efficiency. Moving the cooling cycle back later is a huge thorn in my side.
Also. Later sunset = more time spent having to wear sunglasses to fight the glare. I like the dark just fine, thanks.

You guys don't like having more light in the evenings?I love it ! noting better then spring and summer waking up with 70 degrees out side and kicking it on the porch that’s the best thing ever ! However the first few weeks are hard to get use to but I won’t let that derail summer time.

Absolutely!
To help with the shock of the hour change, one could start waking up a few minutes earlier gradually every day. I'm from the internet and I'm here to help.
Warm weather is coming too! We may hit 60 on Friday and thru the weekend. I'm getting excited just thinking about it...motorcycle weather approaches!

Ugh, for me it's a sign that I won't be able to hide behind baggy sweaters much longer and I have to get my big belly to the gym!

I celebration of upcomming spring and the warm reception when I first came here, I'd like to buy everyone a beer.
Please join me at your favorite bar Saturday night at 2:30 where I will buy everyone a last round.
