Sweet new pics leaked. haha. Looks like what I thought it would look like! Helena looks weird. And I'm not sure those heavy eyebrows are helping Anne any! I might go see this anyway.

I think that Tim Burton has been on a rollercoaster for the past 17 years after starting off as a great director. With that in mind I'm hoping it means that Alice will be good.
Good - Pee-wee's Big Adventure
Good - Beetle Juice
Good - Batman
Good - Edward Scissorhands(It begins)
Meh - Batman Returns
Good - Ed Wood
Meh - Mars Attacks!
Meh - Sleepy Hollow
Bad - Planet of the Apes
Good - Big Fish
BAD - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Good - Corpse Bride
Meh - Sweeney ToddTBD - Alice in Wonderland

I liked sleepy hollow... I think I might be the only one on the earth that did but..
I can't wait to see a trailer for this.

I really like Sleepy Hollow too. I demand that it be raised from a meh to a meh/good!

i liked Sleepy Hollow and Planet of the Apes, Sweeney Todd was good, but personally i just dont like the unneeded gore (understand why he used it though).
i think this will be a great rendition. i had no idea Anne Hathaway was in it. gorgeous specimen of a woman.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was nearly unwatchable. I was more disappointed in Depp than Burton though. I had high hopes when he was cast as Willy Wonka, maybe too high.
I liked Sleepy Hollow. Far from the best movie I'd ever seen, but I didn't think it was bad.

I didn't feel ripped off watching Sleepy Hollow. But I don't have any desire to ever watch it again.
MEH

Yeah, Burton is all over the place for me. I HATED Planet of the Apes and Willy Wonka. And almost everything else I'm sort of meh about. Pee Wee I loved, but I watched Beetlejuice recently and it just didn't hold up for me at all.

+1 Walker.
Usually when I see a new TB release, I cringe.
When he's good, he's unbelievable. I'd consider myself an insufferable film dork, but PeeWee is definitely in my top five of all time.
But when he's bad... well, there's nothing more stomach-churning to me than forced whimsy.

I think you are all forgetting how horrible Johnny Depp has become as well. These two working together are like classic rock bands that should stop ruining their legacies with new albums.

ever since the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, downward slide...

Yeah. Hard to believe this is the same guy who was so great in Dead Man.

Hah. That has got to be the worst movie I have ever watched. I think they blew their entire budget getting Neil Young to noodle in the studio for an hour.

That's sort of an entry-level way to initiate people into transcendental film, before they hit the hard stuff like Bresson :D

Wow, I figured you had to have posted that as a joke. I don't know where to go from here. That movie is terrible.

Well, to each their own.
And I happen to think the Neil Young score is awesome, too... and I'm not usually a lover of noodling of any kind :)
I do think Jarmusch has kind of sucked since then, though, if that consoles you in any way :D
The film got mostly very positive reviews, with a smattering of terrible ones... usually a sign that something is truly original.
