I've been trying to find rectangular light gray floor tile for about 3 months now. I started with the basic hardware stores (which didn't help at all) and even went to "The Tile Shop" to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated because, like always, I get ambitious and start the demo before I've found all the new material.

Hey there - anyone who sources DalTile should be able to get you something very similar. I found this one on their website -

@alexs - Lowes/Home Depot/Anderson's is what I was trying to say when I said the basic hardware stores, sorry I should have made that clearer.
What's even more frustrating is a lot of the new condos downtown have this rectangular tile, so the demand is there for this style, but when I asked them, most of them ordered it from out of state.

Sure... and it's not one I've seen anywhere as an "in stock" item.
The only place I can think of locally that seems to carry more of this style of product is The Indoor Store @ Polaris. Prepare to soil yourself over the cost though.
I would think any of the tile suppliers locally that do any sort of commercial work would have access to this sort of tile - so maybe the more commercial friendly places would have it?

Atlas Concorde at Hamilton Parker
As far as this type of tile goes Atlas Concorde is fairly reasonably priced.

You can order DalTile directly - there's a small showroom in Worthington. They were great to work with, and patient with me as a small-order customer. (This was a while ago - I forget if I had to use the name of my architect friend who was helping design the job, or not...)

I used the Atlas Concorde Cementi line in my kitchen, it will probably give you the look you want. My tile is actually more of a slate grey than what shows in the picture. It's called Misty Green but there's not a lot of green in it at all. They have a really nice one called Tarmac that I almost used. When I bought it a little over a year ago, it was about $4 a square foot at Hamilton Parker. They carry 18x18s in stock but can order other sizes.

I just bought Crossville Ecocycle Night Air Tile from Hamilton Parker. It was less than $5 sqft and made with recycled ceramic.
