I am trying to figure out some marketing for fall so I was thinking it might be helpful if anyone had heard any negative gossip about our store. Not anything like "those guys are assholes," more like selection/lighting/fixtures/sizes..... then maybe I could be a little more direct with the campaign. So be ruthless and I won't ask for the source...

Honestly Tiger, I haven't talked to anyone who's been...BUT...when describing it to a fairly large group of Schiller Park Dog People the other day, they thought it sounded like the coolest thing ever.

to be honest, I've never seen anything for your store

p.s. I just looked at your site again, didn't know all the stuff you had, and had only described the wallets...but they thought those sounded like the coolest thing ever.

Somebody in the short north (at Mod Mod) told me that I'm bound to like your stuff.
That's all I've heard of it so far.

Hey, Moose and me went in search of it and I couldn’t find the store a Saturday a few weeks back. Maybe a sign on high street with an arrow. I since have meandered by and found it. You have some really awesome stuff and much more reasonably priced than all else on High. Think I will be back with Moose on Saturday to pick up some Ohio and C-bus schwag for my brother who lives in Baltimore, Md.

Am I the only person who wants one of these for my front yard?
I like it when it gets really windy and their arms flail like kermit the frog

I think the Village Commission might veto that one.

Am I the only one here who has bought anything from Tigertree?
Love my T-shirt and am glad you are there since "designer" Ts are about all I wear anymore. Unfortunately, I have not heard anyone outside of CU talking about the store either.
You might want to consider another sign that will direct patrons from Tasi in your direction.
It might be considered a sell-out by you (and I understand), but have you tried getting placement for any of your wares in the C-bus fashion/lifestyle mags?
A.

Yeah, I agree you guys should get some signage on High. I, too, would never have heard of you if I hadn't of read it here. Ads, ads, ads! I think you guys could really hit one out of the park once word gets out. Your stuff is adorable.
Maybe have models in clothes go to big social events, spread the word? Seriously, there is sooo a market for this stuff here. I bet we could even get you free models if we asked around. Who wouldn't want to wear fabulous clothes to prime social functions all over town? Pass out a coupon or two, or cross-promotional dealio?

As for the signage on High. We actually used to have a sign out there on the sidewalk. New guidelines were written that basically only effect (affect?I never know... drop out and all) us. You cannot have them on the street side of the sidewalk, and they cannot be obstructing one of those new, beautiful ramps so.... I guess traditional print advertising might be the way to go. Its depressing to admit that, I have been so against it, and just assumed I would stumble on to something "smarter." We have had some placement situations for articles in the Alive and C Magazine, but I guess our lack of impressions on anyone before they saw the "______ from Tigertree," readers might not even know we're a Columbus store.
I am thinking of doing an "expedition" themed campaign if I can find a way to do it that doesn't make us look like Banana Republic.

I always thought it would be cool if you could get a sign that lit up, mounted on the corner of either building at High street that pointed the way down the alley with your name on it. Although probably pretty pricey and complicated to get, it would be an attention grabber...day or night.

Yeah, there are more complications than money with that one.

I just figured out where your shop was the other day. People just don't cut through alleys anymore and don't have any clue there are shops and things just off high, and not just residential areas.
You may not be able to do a billboard, but what about having someone stand -w- a sign during hop and other high traffic days (are there any other high traffic days)?
I think location is the only thing you have working against you... But hey, advertise creatively and anything is possible!

Anne & I purchased a ton of washcloths from them. Kept quite a few for ourselves and gave out others as gifts.
Honestly, I've been pretty lazy with the clothing purchases lately. I should stop in there to pick up a new t-shirt or something...

Are the alley buildings' sides available? I think your logo on a big orange barrel media banner would be cool and an arrow to point to the store. But I can't think of what the building's sides look like there if that would even be possible.

I think you should just close high street and redirect all of the traffic down Brickel St. That should do the trick. I'll call in a fatal accident every Saturday morning on Russell and High for the next five weeks.

I've stopped in there but didn't see anything I had to have at the time.
Will definately go back though.

We're getting our second fall WESC shipment in sometime next week, and a pretty great penguin shipment.
