Three bars north of Ohio State University are irritating their neighbors so much that the Columbus City Council is opposing the renewal of their liquor licenses.
The council decided on Monday to object to the renewal of liquor licenses for 10 bars and carryouts, including Ledo’s Lounge, 2608 N. High St.; Miani’s Bar & Grill, 2619 N. High St.; and the Nut House, 2159 N. High St.
Once-quiet bars north of campus have become busier and rowdier since the South Campus Gateway redevelopment project displaced the bars south of OSU, said Tom Wildman, a member of the University Area Commission.
Ian MacConnell, president of the area commission, spent one August night filming a video he calls "South Campus Bars in Olde North Columbus," which is posted on the YouTube Web site. (Video below!)
The four-minute video features public urination and drunken patrons screaming obscenities outside the bars.

I have to say that video is pretty tame.
But yeah... North campus does appear to be the new South campus.

Read the rest of the article about the other bars, I enjoyed this one......
"Then there’s the Obvious nightclub, 2467 Dublin-Granville Rd., on the North Side. One night, the owners locked the door and wouldn’t let police in to make a routine bar check. Bridget Carty, an assistant city attorney, said police didn’t force entry because they were concerned "there were more guns inside the establishment than with police outside."
