The city's original great lawn - the Ohio Statehouse grounds - is putting out the welcome mat amid emerging competition from nearby patches of green.
As Downtown workers and visitors check out the new Columbus Commons and upgraded Scioto Mile parks, the keepers of the Statehouse lawn - better known for manicured beds than after-hours partying - have responded with 50percent more programming than last summer.
