I'm so there.
I am starting to really get into this show too, but have you seen the commercials??? Looks like an ad for the ER season premiere, all serious about the romance...
Yeah, the romance is a big aspect of the show, and I think they're trying to draw more viewers in with that. I don't mind it though... the writers are handling it well. The episode where Jim in jinxed and can't talk is priceless how it relates to their relationship. And the episode where Jim and Pam spend some time hanging out at the CVS is great for subtly showing how much they really enjoy spending non-work time together. 8)
Can't wait for new episodes!!! :D
YES!!!!
This is the ONLY show on television that can't be missed. We will be watching FO-SHO!
Great episode last night. I'm glad they've decided to take it in the direction that they did. It keeps the Jim/Pam (or JAM for those in the know) thing alive and allows for some new jokes to be made.
The throwbacks to earlier episodes were nice. Very "arrested development". The calculator in the jello came from the very first episode, and the black guy teaching the minority training class at Jim's branch was the same guy from the second episode of the show. Good stuff for the fans. ;)
So, I wonder if we're not going to see Oscar for three months while he's on vacation? According to imdb he's filming a different tv series right now, so perhaps it was a way to write him out for awhile?
Yeah, good one last night. I'm interested in how they play the whole "trying to win her back" thing with the fiance. I thought the kiss with Oscar was a bit over the top....just kind of for shock value they were going for, not for a comedic reason. Although when Dwight jumped right in afterwards it was funnny.

Yeah, I felt bad for Roy even though I never liked his character. I guess they're trying to make people a little more sympathetic for him to add a different angle to the love-triangle thing? Pretty funny that him and Pam eat Chicken & Fish for lunch every day! hahaha!
And yeah, the kiss was a little awkward. I don't think they were going for shock value... I think they were just going for that awkward feeling you get from watching a character as pathetic as Michael Scott. It's the same sort of uncomfortable feeling you get through an entire episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. hahah! So yeah... there wasn't anything shocking about it... just Michael being painfully pathetic. It felt a lot like the 2nd episode of the show where he was being such an ignorant jerk about the whole racial tolerance training. You want to laugh at him for being a loser, but you end up cringing because he just can't stop digging himself into a hole. It sort of turned me off of the show when I first watched it, but after watching more character development you learn to just pass it off and feel sorry for him because he really doesn't know any better.
Can't wait for next week! 8)
Gotta love those who heat up fish in the office!
eeeewwwww....
I think it was supposed to be awkward, one of the main things the show uses to be funny is extreme awkwardness. I just felt it was a bit forced, like "what can we do to make this more awkward", just seemed kind of an obvious awkward move to me. Not a big deal or anything. At the end when Michaels says "that's what she said.....or he," with the thoughtful look on his face, that was great.
You must of watched those other ones recently, I haven't seen the first season since it aired. Wouldn't mind having them on DVD.
P.S. - Off topic, but Curb is a hilarious show. Working my way through those now.

Yeah, Anne & I really didn't get into the show until midway through season 2, and we watched every episode around that time from both seasons, some of them twice. 8)
I love the DUI shot of Roy. Hilarious!!!
All in all I thought it was pretty good. Loved the fact that "big tuna" guy started going ballistic after his calculator was put in jello. And how Pam looked at Ryan during the meeting and he doesn't get it. Like she's trying to have him be Jim's substitute. And the other office girl making fun of Jim's faces to the camera. I'm interested to see what they do with the new characters in Jim's office.
I wish I could remember the exact wording, but when Dwight demanded that all other homosexuals in the office make themselves known or "he would"......I was laughing so hard.
Then obviously the quick gay-dar joke at the end was funny.
the whole gaydar storyline had me rolling.
and I adore Ed Helms even when he's playing Bizarro-Stamford-Dwight and kicking trash cans.
also loved Michael wondering aloud if Oscar's roommate knew he was gay. hee!
Another solid episode last night. My favorite part is when Jan says to Michael "I can't stay on top of you 24/7" and Michael cracks up a little and looks like he wants to say something, but doesn't. For any casual viewers it would look like he was just laughing, but all of us fans knew what was going through his head:
"THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!"
Both he and Dwight busted up laughing.... It was pretty good. Just wanted something else to happen with Dwight and Angela other than Jim coming on on Angela.
hahaha, awesome!
NICE!!! Way to spruce up a crappy song. 8)
