Second Sight Studio will be presenting the work of Cleveland photographer Alena Rosa Reyes during the upcoming Gallery Show and Open Studio Event at 400 West Rich.
THE MARILYN PROJECT by Reyes is a collection of portraits and studies of women donning a platinum-blonde wig and taking on the persona of Marilyn Monroe. Reyes, using models of all ages, shades and sizes, explores female sexuality while playing inside and outside of the stereotypical notion of beauty.
While this theme has been explored before by other photographers, Reyes brings a grittiness and candor to her work which makes the message ring true.
Reyes' photography will be on exhibit for one day only.
Saturday, April 14
at Second Sight Studio, Suite 209, 400 West Rich Street,
during the 400 W. Rich Tenant Show and Open Studios
Check the 400 website for updates on event times.
