M. Night Shyamalan's newest movie. I think the teaser trailer is pretty creepy.
I hope this one is good as I think Shyamalan is a talented director, but is just too caught up in his own ego. His recent movies have been crap.

it does look sweet, but i'm hoping its not as predictable as the village or as plain old weird as the lady in the water. i mean, i liked both of those movies... but there wasn't that "OH SNAP!" moment at the end like with invincible and sixth sense. i want goosebumps!
I think Shyamalan should try and stay away with the "oh snap" and surprise endings as they're getting kinda old and predictable in his movies.
One of his talents is being very good at creating suspense without having to show anything. He could put that to good use in a movie that is outside of his usual horror/thriller movies.
I don't know how good the film will be, but the title is giving me flashbacks.
...... sigh........... it sucked in many ways........ :(
I haven't heard one good thing about this movie but I'm still very curious to see it.
I have the worst expectations possible. :(
Critics always will slam his movies, so I can't really base it on that...but...as much as I loved Unbreakable and Sixth Sense, I hated The Village and Lady in the Water even more.
I think he just lost it after a couple of great movies.
when leaving the theater I didn't hear one person say "i liked it" but I heard 10+ people say that was bad/shit/boring/stupid and so on.
I'm the dork who goes to his movies because I recognize where he films. Part of The Sixth Sense was shot a block away from my ex-boyfriend's house. He said nobody in the crew or the extras was allowed to look at him. It sounded uppity at the time, but maybe that was his way of getting into character.
Say what you want, but Sixth Sense had one of the best twist endings. I doubt a movie that sounds too much like a Simpsons parody (remember The Deadening?) is going to live up to that.
Went and saw it last night. Excellent idea, but terrible acting and some lame lines killed most of it.
surber17 wrote terrible acting
Interesting point, and I was thinking about this as well. Every clip I saw seemed to take Marky Mark out of his acting comfort zone.

maybe the idea was good in some way??? but just really boring. And agreed Marky Mark was awful, and I normally like him.
I've always felt like Night's movies were more like books than movies, becaue you need to think about the underlying concepts. I thought the Village was brilliant because of what was hidden under the surface and it's commentary on people and civilization and modern culture. I'll be seeing the Happening at some point, but I think these movies are better at home when you can reflect on the message he is trying to portray. They are not the kind of movie I want to pay $9 to see on a big screen with strangers.
Laziest screenwriting, acting, and actor direction I've seen in a long time. Not a strong film.
i'm with core, i loved his first two movies but the village sucked.
i'm glad i went to see ironman this weekend instead of this. :)
(i'm a little behind in the new movies)
i read up on the movie just to see what was chasing them
then i wasnt impressed
then i watched sports and had cookouts all weekend for fathers day
