Thanks for all the great feedback. I would mention a couple things:
1. I personally was disappointed/surprised that Pure Skin was blocked. I was going to head to that meeting and speak for them on behalf of the Grandview Hop. We need all the interesting/well-run/creative businesses we can get, and this seems to be petty and small to keep them out. I ended up going to attend another meeting, because I couldn't imagine they weren't going to be allowed to move into the neighborhood. I will know next time not to take that for granted.
2. While I do appreciate the spirit behind the suggestions about the Wine Walk and the live music-themed names, the bottom line is that we have lots of wine bars, lots of live music, and lots of other things like outdoor craft vendors, artists, great retail shops, and community partner booths. The Grandview Hop has become a mix of all of those things, which is what we hoped the more general name might be.
But I do love the creativity of this group. If we had done this in the beginning before the event was named, we could have had a much better title.
Hope to see you all in Grandview on August 29th!
