My doc, The Citadel: Birth of the LeVeque Tower screens next week as part of a state preservation conference at the Westin.
Weds., April 27 at 6 p.m.
The Westin Great Southern Hotel Ballroom, 310 S. High St.
Free event; open seating; no reservations required.
Discussion will follow the film.

Our Forbidden City Tour will be held on April 30 from 9 a.m. to noon. You have seen the movie (we hope), now live the experience. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the LeVeque Tower and the Palace Theater to places few people get to see. Do you know how the zodiac is connected to the history of the LeVeque? Why the sidewalks on Broad Street are always clear? That there are penthouses in the LeVeque and a hotel attached to the Palace? That animals showered below the stage before their debuts? So much to learn and only a few hours in which to see it all. Tours are small and advance tickets are a must.

This tour sounds great, Bethia! I wanted to attend, but work this Saturday. Bump for anyone else who may want to take the tour.
