2011 was big year. I went to Paris to celebrate my 30th birthday, and we bought a house. 2012 has a lot to live up to!

Celebrated five years of marriage to the Rockmaster by white water rafting and later dining at the restaurant where we were married. He is the only person who could get me to stare at Class 5 rapids and say, "Sure, as long as you tell me what to do."
BrotherMarcus and LItoBuckeye getting married was a close second.

Meeting Walker Evans for the first time at the Gay Street Collaborative Public Meeting with the City. His charm and charisma shined that day. Oh that, and the photo he used originally for one of the CU articles had my face in it. That was cool.

New job, new outlook on life. Hope 2012 is as good for everyone else as 2011 was for me. The general news and situation in American can feel depressing so its good to remember all the great things that happen in your life.

I got engaged, that's probably the biggest.
Right behind that: I became even more enamored with my business, snorkeled in Honduras, ran my first 5k, turned 30, saw Ray LaMontagne... pretty clutch year, I'd say.

We moved down the street into a great little 1920s cottage. Love not having to navigate stairs unless I'm heading into the basement. Best friend lives next door (we bought that one too). Like all the neighbors, very quiet. Joined a new gym, had a great CIFVF this November, the neighborhood rat hole wt bar became a fun gay bar, the Explorers Club opened down the street (yum), all in all a good year.
EDIT- almost forgot, marked 5 years as a breast cancer survivor, which means my risk of reoccurrence drops dramatically to almost normal levels. Yay!

Vacation out west... flying into Seattle, exploring around there a little, and road tripping back over a week. It was unbelievable.
Also - buying rubber boots Sunday morning of Nelsonville MF*, so I could wade out to the stage and roam around with no concerns or issues. Got to stand nearly center, right against the stage, to see Neko Case.
*Music Festival or Mud Fest, both work

A year of serious change for me. My family moved to a wonderful house in Gahanna and Shadowbox finally (FINALLY) made its move to the Brewery District.
