After pulling through the storms, the festival continues this weekend! King Lear opens on Friday, and we can't wait to bring The Crown to the island.

Saw the write-up in the Dispatch today with photo, nice! However, Grossberg said that Todd was using a rapier to differentiate his character from Scapin. Broadswords, man, BROAD-swords. Check out the FB page for some photos.

In the interest of the safety of our actors and patrons in today's extreme heat, New Players Theater Festival will begin its Saturday, July 7th performance of William Shakespeare's KING LEAR at 9pm. The usual start time is 8pm, and the show lasts 2 1/2 hours including one 15 minute intermission.

Late night Lear was a success on Saturday night! So many intrepid folks came out to enjoy the cooler hours. And then perfect weather for Scapin last night. Anyone who's been holding out for better weather should start making plans now! Only five performances of Scapin left!
