Wednesday, October 28, 2009 - Join Mercy For Animals for delicious vegan food and an engaging presentation by Karen Dawn, author of "Thanking the Monkey: Rethinking the Way We Treat Animals," which was chosen by The Washington Post as one of the "Best Books of 2008."
Karen will be reading sections from "Thanking the Monkey," including some heartwarming animal stories, and sharing some of the hilarious illustrations and cartoons that fill the book.
