At $70 a plate there is no way I would not take advantage of those skewers. It sounds like I should start planning for my birthday. I wonder if they have Brazilian steak house training plans like they do for running marathons.

I know I *should not* eat like 5K cal in a sitting, but that sure ain't gonna change the fact that I'm GOING to eat like 5K cal (actually 5K Kcal technically! WOOT!) of meat sometime shortly after this place opens. I'm saving my pennies in anticipation! I love these Brazilian steakhouse places. I've found I end up mostly fasting the day following eating a brazilian tons of meat so it all balances out mostly... or so I tell myself...*grin*
Pure win!
Gotta put all that protein to use. Few hours with the kettlebells is called for in my case.

Ate at the Dallas one and it was awesome. You feel like a caveman after eating yourself sick on skewered filet mignon (if only cavemen had it that good). Sometimes it's a shame I don't eat meat anymore (hope that doesn't turn this into another veg vs meat thread!)

I can't eat enough to get excited by the concept. It kinda grosses me out actually.

The pleasure of a rodizio/churrascaria is not in how much food one can eat - there are plenty of Midwest-approved joints all over town for that. It is in the variety of meat available, specifically different cuts of beef which have their own flavors and textures. One can have a great steak at home, but the cost and hassle of having six different types (plus pork, lamb, chicken, sausage) is prohibitive.
Texas de Brazil is OK. I expect a crappy winelist + no BYO will make it far less interesting here. Chima in FLL has been expanding and has way better meat as well as a much more stylish vibe.

I've never had this experience and am interested to see what lies in store for my taste buds and belly.

The old MP is great location, but finding a parking spot @ Easton during dinner is going to be an issue, PF Changs, Fado's, Cheesecake Factory, Chipolte's, North Star and the new Italian place usually have the adjacent parking tied up, especially since people in Columbus, love to eat, but hate to walk!
Say what? There's a giant parking garage literally attached to the back wall of this venue.

yes.....but that would require a little more walking than the typical Buckeye is up to doing...especially after eating at any of these fine establishments!

Who knew that what's wrong with America is also what's wrong with Brazil?

Cheesecake also doesn't have a parking lot and they seem to be doing fine. I hope this space sees more success than MP. I liked the venue well enough, but the pricing was WAY off IMO.
