Meat lovers rejoice – Brazilian steakhouse planned for Easton

A little slice of carnivore heaven is coming to Easton Town Center in the spring. Dallas-based Texas de Brazil plans to bring its all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse, also called a churrascaria, to the 7,500-square-foot former home of Martini Park , which closed last summer.

WIN!!! Ever since moving to Baltimore from Columbus, the first thing I found, to my delight, was a Brazillian steak house (we have fogo de chão here) and hot diggity if it's open when I come home for X-mas, I'm totally THERE. +1 For Columbus, yay'

I've been hoping for another churrascaria in Columbus since Amazon Grill on Campus View closed; I figured it would happen someday because one thing Columbus is known for is people who love to eat.

The old MP is great location, but finding a parking spot @ Easton during dinner is going to be an issue, PF Changs, Fado's, Cheesecake Factory, Chipolte's, North Star and the new Italian place usually have the adjacent parking tied up, especially since people in Columbus, love to eat, but hate to walk!

So much for the smoking ban destoying the resturant & bar business in Columbus!

Wasn't there a Brazilian Grill up at the Crossroads (23 & 270) a couple of years ago? I don't recall it lasting very long, but the servers went around with skewered meat and you ate as much as you wanted.

I have been to three Brazilian Streakhouses: Fogo, Brazzaz, and Texas. The funny thing is, I am actually repulsed by the idea of these places, and in reality they are repulsing. However, for some odd reason I have been to three of them, and each time I leave I walk slower than the fattest tourist (I ate at all three in Chicago). The experience is pretty fun I have to admit, and sometimes it is fun to indulge in something like this just for the fuck of it. I do not think I could go to one more than once every 2 years or so though.

The quality of the other items besides the meat is usually pretty good, and the selection is vast. All of them usually run birthday specials of buy one get one free, which makes it an incredible deal. It is fun for a birthday when you get 2 meals for 70 bucks or so, but at 60 a piece or whatever it costs now, 120 is spent better somewhere else. I am still on Texas email list and rest assured I will probably spend my 2012 birthday eating there, but really only because of the value.

@ futureman, Yes that was the Amazon Grill, similar menu but @ about 1/2 of the price of a typical Texas De Brazil.

I always thought it was the location that doomed the Amazon Grill; they also did not invest much on the exterior as I recall.

Meh, meat on sticks. It had a certain appeal when I could consume like 5k calories daily without regret. Not so much now.

Last time I went to similar would've been Rumjungle at Mandalay Bay back in its heyday (way better than places now in terms of decor).

I know I *should not* eat like 5K cal in a sitting, but that sure ain't gonna change the fact that I'm GOING to eat like 5K cal (actually 5K Kcal technically! WOOT!) of meat sometime shortly after this place opens. I'm saving my pennies in anticipation! I love these Brazilian steakhouse places. I've found I end up mostly fasting the day following eating a brazilian tons of meat so it all balances out mostly... or so I tell myself...
