My fiance needs to get into a temp agency asap (the phrase "Unemployed Fiance" is pretty tragic, IMO), and I was hoping you guys would be able to point us in the direction of a good one for clerical positions.
What temp agencies have you guys had luck with? No luck? He applied over at ProTeam, but they said "We don't have any jobs. Good luck!" (more or less)

Try Manpower. I got a temp job with them for about five days and they called me on Monday to see if I would be interested in a few other temp positions lasting a couple of months. I have enjoyed my experience with them and the staff is helpful and very nice as well.

From personal experience, I don't recommend Manpower.
But Jody and Leann at Career Choices Unlimited are great. They're a local company that I've used off and on for 12 years. Make sure to tell 'em I sent you :)

This site looks very promising!
Once you get in their program, are they pretty quick to get you into jobs? He had applied for a job at Solutions Staffing, and when he didn't get that they were going to place him ("I don't want you to be my boyfriend, but I can hook you up with one of my uggo friends for a quickie"?), and he never heard back - I guess they take a more reactive approach.
At the beginning of the year, I went through Spherion, and they seemed extremely proactive, but he's leary of them, as he has no interest in going back to Nationwide...
