I saw this mentioned in the news a few days ago, but just saw the video version. "Cheerleaders for Failure" may be my new favorite term.

Go Ted!
"they" will be the ones voting you out of office,ted.
seeya
"They" will finally come around to our aging infrastructure and embrace the 21st century, not loops of concrete from the 50's. :D
@agtw31 - "they" are "you"...
Amen. Ronald Reagan did more to suffocate our political process today than almost anybody with his whole "I'm from the government and I'm here to help" thing. I'd like to point out that the government was the only one with the means and ability to put a man on the moon. But today any mistake that's made is amplified to the nth degree and its implied that incompetence is ubiquitous throughout. The worst is when people somehow get the idea that if we just cut the budget then that will make things more efficient and get rid of waste. Sorry, but things don't work that way in the real world; not in government nor private industry.
Strickland actually speaking out on something...
Shocking.
The Rail opponents seem to assume everyone has access to a car and a driver's license. ie "Why would I pay for a train ticket if I can get there in less time by driving"?
There are non drivers who could benefit, like the silver set. As the Silent Generation and Baby Boomers age, this might actually keep them in Ohio if they can still be active without driving long distances.
Also, rail can attract the younger crowd that is resistant to moving to a car dependent city.
