The central Ohio Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Team Challenge will be hosting a kick-off event at the Camelot Wine Cellar on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. The kick-off event will serve as a pre-season mixer and fundraiser for the central Ohio Team Challenge team members and other community members who wish to come out and support the team and Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
Team Challenge is an endurance training and fundraising program that supports finding a cure for Crohn’s Disease and Colitis Cancer. The team members of Team Challenge will receive professional level training and support to run a half marathon, while raising money to support Crohn’s and Colitis.
The central Ohio Team Challenge team will participate in the Virginia Wine Country Half Marathon. The race will take place on June 2 in Loudoun, VA. At the kick-off event, everyone who attends will be able to meet team members, mentors, the team coach, and the Team Challenge Staff. The cost to attend the event will be 35 dollars, with proceeds going to the local Crohn’s & Colitis chapter. Tickets can be bought pre-sale or at the door. Light refreshments will be served throughout the evening.
