Free to use yes, but you have to pay to efile your state returns. I used TaxAct online the last two years and am happy with it.

Sort of, if you go to
http://www.irs.gov you can use some free file programs that will help you do your taxes. Generally, you have to make under a certain amount of money.Posted 3 years ago # -
I have always been a fan of Turbo Tax it's 40 to file in a 1040A form.
They can take it from the refund as well if you don't have 40 at the moment.Posted 3 years ago # -
I was able to file using turbo tax (1040) for free...try this link:

H&R Block has an easy to use e-file program. It's free, but they do try to get you to "upgrade" to a paid program at several points. The state web site is a little clunky, but servicable and free.
