After 13 months of working behind the scenes, Ritmo Productions is back strong with a new team which promises to redefine Latin entertainment by giving a new flare to the night club scene. The group has recently squared a deal with one of the most upscale dining and lounge venues in Columbus that will cater exclusive Latin Entertainment on Saturdays.
May 17th marked the Grand Opening of Taboo Latin Lounge, located in the Crosswoods area just north of Columbus. Paired with an exclusive red carpet photo shoot to everyone attending, a live performance, and a certified Latin chef preparing Caribbean style tapas all night, the team promises that Taboo will offer “a much deserved event to the Latino communityâ€Â.

The group is led by Texas native DJ Ray “Ritmo†Arebalo, owner and founder of Ritmo Productions, which has been catering Latin entertainment for over 10 years. Managing for the group is Puerto Rican native Stephen Torres, an early pioneer of Latin Entertainment. Also in the team are Venezuelan MC Lixander “Pucho†Rivas, current TV and Radio personality, Gerson Martinez, Puerto Rican Reggaeton Performer who has been featured on major compilation CDs from WEA/Warner Music Latina and who is soon to come out with his single, and Claudia De Leon, Mexican native who is known for her Public Relations and Community Liaison work among Columbus.
This dynamic team has collaborated to bring Columbus upscale Latin Entertainment in a venue that would be of higher quality. DJ Ray Ritmo expresses that “the Latin community deserves this kind of exclusive treatment†and is grateful that current club management has seen the vast potential in this niche market. The newly remodeled Taboo will offer plenty of free parking, VIP bottle service, 2 patios, 2 DJs playing a variety of all international Latin music with periodic Guest DJs attending, Dance lessons provided by Columbus’ top dance instructors, Valet Service and Caribbean dinner service beginning at 5pm.
