Anyone have a good suggestion for a group of folks after a day at the Convention Center? My biggest caveat is that we are only allowed to expense $20 per person. My hope is to find something within walking distance of the Convention Center. Knead, my first choice, is closed on Mondays.
Any ideas?

DeepWood's happy hour = dinner & drinks for less than $20.00. Barley's Monday special is $2.00 brats and $.50 sauerkraut balls. That could add up to a $3.00 meal, leaving drinking money totaling, well, you can do the math... I didn't get in this gig for the math

I thought it was a good sized portion when I had it. Bigger than a traditional "small plate" but not a normal entree. I think Anne & I maybe split something else in addition to it.
But yeah, if you're going for the best "pounds of food per dollar" ratio, Barrio is probably not your thing.

This is a terrific list! Right now, Barley's is top of my list, especially since it's so close to North Market for those who haven't been there before. I'll send the link for this thread out to my team and let them play with the ideas as well as Google.

North Market is mostly closed on Mondays.

Liz, I've brought teachers there before and have had a wonderful time. Will probably do so again soon. The prices are SO GOOD.
