SwingColumbus to host over 120 dancers for 24 hours of dancing in one weekend.
The Columbus Lindy and Blues Exchange is a unique local event.
COLUMBUS, Ohio- SwingColumbus, a local non-profit organization, will play host to over 120 swing dancers from all over Ohio, the Midwest, and Canada for an intense weekend of dancing Friday, May 15 to Sunday, May 17. During this unique event, called the CBUS Lindy and Blues Exchange, these avid Lindy Hoppers will clock 24 hours of dancing to the bluesy sounds of guest DJs and local live bands.
Perhaps the most unusual aspect of the weekend will be a midnight-4AM latenight dance on a 1960s era roller skating rink (no skating allowed!) with the lights and disco ball going along with DJed music. Other dances will include local live bands – The Derek DiCenzo Trio with Jeanette Williams on Friday evening, and Inner City Blues Band on Saturday evening.
