A friend of mine turned me on to a really nice recipe search website called Supercook.
The idea is that you input the ingredients you have available, and it returns recipes of things you can make with those ingredients. In the results, it'll indicate if you've already got everything you need for that recipe, or it'll point out what's missing.
From what I've seen of it so far, it seems best for folks with generally smaller pantries, as the more things you input, the less narrowed-down the results become - but you could always restrict it yourself by focusing on one set of ingredients you wanted to work with... a specific protein or vegetable for example...
