anyone else thinking this may just be gut busting funny? I'm guessing the raunch level will be high. :D

I frickin love George Michael!! I will definitely see this movie - the prviews look hilarious! The piece they ran about it on NPR today (All Things Considered, I think) made it sound like American Pie, but I am guessing it will be much funnier in an ackward sort of way!

This could finally be the Porky's for a new generation...or Fast Times...or Animal House...well, you get the point.

Far From Bad
Superbad conjures up lots of laughs
By: Chris Alexis
Superbad is the title of the movie, but far from a review.
I laughed, and laughed hard, throughout most of the film. The hilarity never stopped to catch its breath.
This movie tells the story of a couple of high school seniors who, using another student and his fake ID, try to get alcohol illegally on their way to a friend’s party. Both have their hearts set on girls they want to lose their virginity to. Both want to end their high school social lives on a high note.
Of course, everything goes wrong. And it’s wrong.
So very, very wrong….
…but so very, very funny.
The two lead actors are unknowns but are spot on in the movie. One of them, played by Jonah Hill, is a heavyset kid with an afro named Seth. He actually reminds me of writer and co-star Seth Rogen. I wouldn’t be surprised if he actually based this character on himself.
The only two actors I think audiences will recognize is Rogen, known to many as the lead in this summer’s Knocked Up¸ and Saturday Night Live alum Bill Hader. The two play cops who aren’t exactly shining examples of law enforcement.
The movie is rated R and deserves it completely. First, the “F-bomb†is dropped every other word. Secondly, the humor is extremely crude and raunchy – right in line with American Pie. Not to mention a lot of teens drinking, sexual situations and drug use. This is not a movie you want to see with your folks.
I will say that I’m not exactly sure what the filmmakers were trying to do with the relationship between the two main characters. It some times became confusing as what kind of a relationship they really had, especially toward the end.
If you like disgusting, raunchy humor this movie is for you. It’s another instant classic teenage sex comedy in line with Porky’s and American Pie.
You could say that I “McLove†this film.
What am I talking about? See the movie. I highly recommend it.

I saw it tonight, it's damn funny.

very funny, very nice... not like porky's, not like fast times... very geek-centric, very awkwardly homoerotic, fast times was (oddly enough) a more fully developed film. this was a more "made for youtube" sort of endeavour, not something i'll need to see again- but damned funny.
