Nonprofit recital series Sunday at Central will host a free performance with members of The Canaletto Ensemble and special guests on Sunday, February 26 at 3:00 p.m. in the Columbus Museum of Art’s Cardinal Health Auditorium. The 90-minute concert features violist Ken Matsuda and cellist Luis Biava of The Canaletto Ensemble, as well as violinist Paul Roby of The Philadelphia Orchestra and New York pianist Gail Niwa. Two epically unique works will be performed: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Quartet in E Flat and G Minor Quartet by Johannes Brahms. The former wields a bright and charming spirit, while the latter is regarded as a thrilling homage to romantic music.
Guests of the performance will have free access to galleries in CMA’s permanent collection. A post-show meet and greet will take place in the museum’s lobby café and refreshments will be available for sale. Donations to Sunday at Central will be graciously accepted. The Columbus Museum of Art is located at 480 East Broad Street in downtown Columbus. Museum parking is free on Sundays.
