For all of you that had an awesome time at the Headless Horseman’s Grave, My Best Friends Party is proud to be able to bring you another all night event at Fort Rapids Indoor Water Park and Resort. Thanks to the astonishing success of the first party, Fort Rapids has agreed to let us do it again, this time even bigger and better. We took stock of the first event, considered the feedback we got and worked to improve what we feel... was a pretty wild party.
Last time we had to, um “share†the hotel with a few people that weren’t quite ready to party like it’s 2010. This time Fort Rapids is giving us the run of the entire hotel. That’s right the entire hotel will be an all night hotel adventure. (no children or families will be at the hotel unless they are down with 1,000 plus party people getting it in all night long on 7 stages in our epic hotel adventure.
This event will take place Friday December 10th, the first Friday of Winter Break for Ohio State. The theme of this event will be Summer In The Winter, given that it’s a pool party during winter break. 45 djs from all over the Midwest including Chicago, Indy, Cleveland, Athens and Columbus will be making the party pop from 9pm-5am.
Admission will be at the front door and from then on you will be on an expedition to explore the hotel and all of it’s 7 stages. We will have two stages in the water park at night. Bikini’s, bathing suits and swimming obviously encouraged. (The dubtub will bump again) Unique costumes of all types will be encouraged and rewarded. There will also be two ballroom stages like last time, including the beloved jungle forest stage and a much darker main stage, lit with a 15,000w laser system we are bringing in and a similar video setup to what we had last time. Multiple projectors and live video mixing from VJ OZ. (check the promo video he made for the last party) Speaking of bringing in equipment, the sound is getting a major step up from last time. We are bringing in a 20,000 w bassbin centric audio rig from major Indy crew PERPETUAL ENTERTAINMENT. In fact we are bringing in too much audio to list but 7 stages all done proper means tons of bass.
In addition to the two water park stages and the two ball room stages we will also have a stage in the bar all night and two stages located on the 12th floor in glass walled meeting rooms. These two stages will allow smoking so as to alleviate some of the 8th floor madness we experienced last time.
Speaking of the 8th floor everyone wants to get first choice on rooms, so call early to get your choice of beds and smoking preference. We will once again be selling room packages which include 4 water park passes (which everyone needs) and party admission for 4. The room package price will be $150 or $37 a person. If you don’t buy a room and chose instead to pay for only admission the price will be $25 which includes hotel and water park admission. This money will be split with the hotel to cover the additional costs of security and lifeguard personel required to keep the waterpark open late at night.
So just to run thru it for you one more time, we are throwing another all night hotel water park party. Roevy , Digiraatii, Hot Mess, Cornelous Jackson, Carma / Attak, Jason Lyman, Team Bayside High, Mister Shifter, Thunder st. Clair, Pyro Fighter, Dylan Adams, dj Infinity, Real Talk, Dave Rave, Bobsan, Kevy Kev, That Dj Max, Burgle, Doctah x and about 25 more acts will be performing on 7 stages all night long. There will be more décor, more lighting, more djs, more glow sticks, more bass and more party peoples. We had almost 1,000 last time and this time we expect to top that. Based on all the awesome responses we got to the last party we don’t think doing it bigger and better is even a question. This isn’t our first all night party you know.
So let’s hear it for the boys (and girls), cause we’re bringing you Summer In The Winter !

Amongst other entertainment we will also have live painting thru-out the venue and fire poi at the entrance. We are also going to have a photo booth thanks to the C.O. way and a body painting artist. We also plan to have a merch area. Hit us up if you are interested in vending or participating in the fire poi or have any other ideas to make the party bigger and better. We are also looking for a glee club or accapella group to sing.
