I'd be up for it. We drove by it on our way down to Highlands over the weekend.
If you come to one of my shows next weekend or the one after, I'll meet you for a drink in the bar when I'm offstage. It's wonderful!

How about a Lululemon Athletica meetup? Maybe do a class, listen to what the store is about, try on some things??
I'm down for a state fair meetup. :D
Cafe Del Mundo
Circleville Pumpkin Show
and
Schmidt's Octoberfest - no longer in German Village :]~ (((SURPRISE)))

I met a few friends at the Ruckmoor on 23, yes "The Ruck". I was thinking it would be a great location for a CU social north of the beltway. It has the type of genuine gritty history that would be fun for a Happy Hour, and it's dirt cheap. Any opinions?
BTW, I am making the assumption you've never done one there before.
Lincoln Theater anyone? It has a bar.
I was actually thinking about Zanzibar across the street. ;)
It's short notice but I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell opens this weekend, we could do a Movie Meetup!
Just found this thread and was a little surprised that nobody mentioned the idea of going to the the Ohio Roller Girls.
Ooh. Good call! :D
Just a thought on the logistics of the meet ups. I don't know how you guys handle it now, but I'm guessing one or two people regularly do most (or all) of the work. This is one of those situations where a planning committee could help make the logistics easier to do with. I'd volunteer.

Very kind of you to offer! :D I generally do most of the gruntwork on the meetups, with Anne helping out on some of them as well. Generally, there's not a whole lot to do though. I contact someone at a venue (or they contact me). I try to see what sort of cheap/free food/drink deals they're willing to do, and we pick a date. Other that putting together a quick little flyer in photoshop and spreading the word, there's not a whole lot else to do.
These events have always been purely social, with an occasional optional fundraiser here and there (Holiday Toy Drive for Franklin County Childrens Services or the recent backpacks for Operation Backpacks) so there's not a whole lot of extra logistical details. I like to keep it simple for me and you and everyone else. ;)
We are going to have another big annual party in November that I haven't started planning yet, but need to get on the ball with. Last year we held it at Wild Goose Creative and had around 120-150 people stop by over three hours and about a dozen local restaurants and bars donating food and drinks. So that was a bit more time consuming to set up. Perhaps a committee for that event could be in order? Whaddya think?

Cafe Del MundoJust saw this. I wish they were open late enough.
They sometimes stay open late for special dinners and other events.. I bet you could do a special evening event and work it out with them...
They also used to do a dinner once a month.. Not sure they still do that..

Sure. Anything I can do to help. Just let me know.
How about a CU Ski Trip this winter. Rent a bus, hit the slopes, watch Chris Sherman break something on his body. Fun for all. (Except Chris) Oh and Studio 35 for Rocky Horror is fun. What about lunch at the North Market.
