I'm always looking for good suggestions for meetups throughout the year, but thought I'd get some ideas flowing... where do people want to have happy hours next year? What other sorts of meet ups do you want to do? We toyed with a few ideas (condo tours, movies, outdoor activities) in 2008 and some were well received while others were not.
Please try to keep this to serious suggestions only. 20 pages of joke suggestions isn't going to help at all.

Oh man, last time I roller skated, I broke my hand and wrist. Word to the wise, roller skating is not like riding a bike.

there are some evening open hours, but I think you might be able to book it for a private event. I know they have kids birthday parties there.

A place with a sweet view, like on a high rise would be great. One Nation and Christophers are closed though. I doubt any of the corporate or state towers would let us have a party on the top floor of their buildings though.
Maybe the Seneca, they need some attention, or 8 on Broad could do it. A private developer looking for some free publicity and visitors? North Bank Condo Tower?
The new Bono Togo obviously would be a hit.
Santa Maria in the summer, we could rent it and have a suggested cover charge to cover the rental cost.
