Hello, I have been tasked with coming up with a good idea for a company holiday party. Yes, it's a little late, but this is how we do it. We're a typical company of 20-25 people and around a $1000 budget. We've done all the normal stuff like bowling, CBJ games, dinners, etc over the years. I'm not against doing one of those things again, but if there is something out there that is a little more unique or interesting I'd love to hear it.

Here is a shameless plug for us, but we hosted a lot of holiday parties in December, and would love to keep the holiday spirit going in 2010 as well.
We offer a very unique evening out in Worthington. You start at our store (The Candle Lab), where each person pours their own candle. We have 110 different fragrances, and you blend these scents together to create your own custom candle. The candles take about an hour to set up, so you head next door to House Wine (voted Best Wine Bar in Columbus by Columbus Monthly). Depending on the needs of your group, we can set up a personalized wine tasting or a spread of wine and tasting plates. Caffe Daniela can provide some great Italian food (pasta, oven-baked pizzas, panini's, etc) delivered to your tables at House Wine. And we will deliver your candles right to your table as soon as they're set up and ready to travel.
We have done more than a hundred of these candle-and-wine parties in the past year, and we get a great response from all the groups. Candles aren't everybody's thing, but we have lots of manly scents for the guys (campfire, cedar, leather, etc) so its not all fruits and flowers. Everyone seems to have fun with it, and House Wine does a great job at making everyone in the group feel comfortable tasting and choosing their wines.
For more info, you can check out the web sites or give me (Steve) a call at 614-433-9900, and I can set up the whole thing for you.

I would think momo would be fun, do they have liquor? One of the best parties I went to was a company party in Chicago, at the house of blues hotel, before it switched to that new hotel, at that cool bowling alley there. Open Bar, Pizza, and bowling was fun, and i hate bowling.

My friend had a massage therapist come to her office and treat each employee to a 15 minute session. Years later, everyone still raves about it. Coupled with a tea tasting, it would make a good wellness-themed event.
If I worked in an office, I'd be thrilled by such a thing!
