There won't be any bubble-blowing or songs like "Skinnamarink" and "Wheels on the Bus" during Worthington Libraries' newest "storytime" series.
No, "Strange & Twisted Tales" is for adults only. Bring your lunch and listen to each month's bone-chilling tale.
January 25: "The Hortlak" by Kelly Link
Meet convenience store managers Eric and Batu, as well as their zombie customers.
February 22: "Big Rage" by Margo Lanagan
A young woman, emotionally abused by her husband, gets revenge.
March 29: "The Werewolf" and "The Erl-King" by Angela Carter
Both tales involve sinister transformations and strong characters who must take matters into their own hands if they are to survive.
Each program starts at noon at Old Worthington Library, 820 High St.
