Anyone enjoyed the big storm that lasted like 5 minutes, we got winds gusts was almost 60mph and quarter sized hail and had no power for almost 30 minutes in OSU/N. High/18th Ave area.
This is nice to have storm, it has been while ...

Wow, we just had tons of rain that flooded King Avenue here. No hail, but enough thunder that my cat was under the bed and even refused dinner.
Uh yeh, my car is clean. And my cat jumped on the laptop and typed this: n mj87;2/yj\;g.bv8,
they closed our pool
So a 13-14 hour day became a 9 hour day :D
Update: Power came on just now since 6:12pm
Oh boy!
medium sized trees were uprooted at the corner of 4th and Town downtown.
Yeah our power went off at work and they sent us home. Gonna go out now and hang out in the shortnorth and see what kinda mischief I can get into.
I got free Taco Bell thanks to mother nature. I was at the Taco Bell drivethrough by South Campus. I handed the guy my debit card, a huge lightning bolt hit a building less than a block away, shook my car and knocked out their credit card machine.... long story short, they just gave me the food free.
Junctionview Studios got effed.

There is 6" of water in my basement.
And a huge (silver maple?) is down in the middle of 4th Ave bt Sum & N.4th. Took some power lines and split a power pole.
German Village is a wreck. Starbucks, Cup O Joe, The Book Loft, G.Michaels, Katsingers, etc all closed from flooding. Cars are washed up in front of homes...it's nuts.
the sign at "pieces for wear" was dangling when i drove by about fifteen minutes after the storm. i'm assuming it was the crazy winds.
NoFi has trees down everywhere. There's a HUGE tree blocking my entire street so I can only get to my house from High.
We had all the windows open and that last big gust ripped through my house like a tornado. It was scary. Sorry about your wine glasses, Lew :( I hope the Dube and donuts makes up for it!!
Harrison West got hit pretty hard too. Lots of homeowners out and about assessing damages and trying to do some clean up.
And we lost power, shocker

High St, just S of 5th. After the intense storm wave.

King ave was a *river* flowing east all the way from the divide between the scioto/olentagy rivers at Cambridge blvd. The road is now covered in patches of sediments of various size.
I have no idea how much rain per minute it takes to flood King ave up to the sidewalks but I have never seen it happen before tonight. Judging from my garden it looks like we got a good solid 4 inches in 30 minutes.

Alot good storm photos can be found:
Left my apartment this evening and Kenny was flooded, came back this evening and it wasn't flooded. Where dooos this waters go? down the hole?
That was some crazy ass storming, and I had the top off of the Jeep on the ride home and now it is moist and clean on the inside. Thank heavens for drainplugs in Jeeps, but I was wet and cold when I got back to Columbus earlier!
