So Liquidation is generally a bad thing right?
Who knows in this case but there will be some pretty major sales if you are into sewing machines, fabric, etc. etc.
I'm only going to relay what I know. The sale starts April 22nd at 8am.
I've heard a lot of different things about new owners, closing etc etc. but who knows what is true until the next meeting.
All I know is the sale and that I am a sour employee.

i heard the original owner last year was arrested for using illegal workers and some serious tax evasion. i guess he was bringing in workers from asia illegally. sounds like all of that is now coming to a close....

At this point no store Fixtures.
As for the illegals yah he was doing that I think it was more then a year ago and It was Mexico not Asia. He spent his time in jail and paid all the fines and lost his house in Dayton. He is also still on probation.

Ok So the deal is that we ARE Liquidating. The store will be closed to the Public Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday the doors open at 8 Am for the sale. It will go on for several weeks.
The store both Columbus and Dayton were sold so this liquidation is a transition between owners and merchandise. So Stitching Post will stay but under new owners. They are also no longer inside any Jo-Ann Fabric stores.
They Currently are selling Elna and Brother Machines. They just got a huge stock of Elna this week embroidery, quilting, sergers and regular sewing. They have both High and Low Price points on all machines.
All classes are still going on. Your regular machine know how classes will start again in May and then creative classes start up again in June I heard.
I'll know more details Tuesday when we have the "official" meeting.
So yeah! I still have my part time job!

There is going to be a rolling sale. Where every week it will decrease and there is an e.mail mailing list on their site you can sign up for that will notify you how much the discounts have changed.
15% on all notions and Sewing Machine feet really is good. Sewing Machine feet usually never go on sale.

Stitching Post stores in Columbus, Centerville sold, will continue operating

Stitching Post Sewing Super Stores will remain in business after all.
Nancy Powers, former advertising manager for the stores' longtime owner Joe Fulmer, has purchased the two stores, located at 8805 Bethel Rd. and in Centerville, near Dayton.

The Dayton store is already open. The Columbus will be another month at least.
