I was heartened by the weather forecast this morning. Unlike prior years, we're not expected to hit 90 today. YIPPEEE!

We'll be stopping by.

Didn't even know they were having one. What was the art in there like? I read Walker talking about how hot in there it was, that doesn't seem right for an art space.

I don't know how much they advertised it. Mostly, people heard about it through invitations they received in the mail.
It was, unfortunately, hot enough to make varnish tacky in there...

I don't think the building has AC. Or perhaps it was just broken. Either way, I hope the artists were warned in advance. ;)
Otherwise, it's always a great exhibit. They do this every year. We always make it a point to swing through while we're at the fair. Nice variety of work represented there.

I managed that exhibit when I was nineteen, and haven't really been back since. Until that reception.
It was nice to see that they had better walls to work with! (Or maybe they just painted them white... I'm not sure). It was not air-conditioned back then, and I doubt that the state has invested in it now. It's a large building, and it's primarily used for machinery storage the rest of the year!
From what I remember, they have to paint the floor every year with that noxious gray concrete paint... not a fun task in the summer.
I thought that they did a very nice job with the space, and hanging the work. My pieces looked great up on the walls (I'm used to seeing them in my poorly lit apartment!)
