I haz no PS3.
So I'm just replaying FFX & FFXII to bow at the Square Enix altar. :-)

kingdom hearts 3?

Ah Squenix just hasn't been the same since the merger imo, The enix titles got better but the square titles mostly suffered.
been a junkie of Square games since FF1 back in the day.
to be honest none of those games seem that exciting to me just yet.FFXIII of course should be good, but have PS3 :(FFXII is going to be a very hard game for them beat though...
have to say I've found the crystal chronicles games to be kinda weak.Although I've heard this can connect to your DS to our Wii. That might be pretty interesting.
The one I'm really looking forward to is DragonQuestIX whenever that ships. DGVIII really revived the series imho.

Well if you don't have a PS3 you can still play FFXIII with a Xbox 360 at least

I don't have one of those either :(
I might have to break down and actually buy one for FFXIII though, FFXI is the only one I haven't played.Posted 3 years ago # -
I think their line up is looking pretty solid. I've logged a lot of hours on Square games with more probably to come.
Better start saving my money now.

I kind of wish they would shake it up a bit. I'm kind of tired of the typical jRPG story line of feminine looking street urchin vs. established Evil Kingdom.
I would give my first born for Kingdom Hearts 3 though.

@honavery
That's why I liked about some of their PS1 games, Parasite Eve and Vagrant Story were pretty different from standard Squenix fare.
The director/team that did FF Tactics, Vagrant story and FFXII is in my opinion the best one there. At least those three are among my alltime favorites :)Posted 3 years ago # -
@ZHC
Cool, I haven't played either of those.How about a sequel to Chrono Trigger or something?

This is why I like Atlus RPG's as my refresher away from Square Enix games sometimes and FF games. they have a boarder variety in story/characters and in gameplay for dungeon crawling or tactics games.

Last Remnant also came out for the PC this week. Hopefully they fixed the glitches that plagued the 360 version. A new Parasite Eve game called The 3rd Birthday will be on the PSP. As for a sequel to Chrono Trigger, I take it you mean a better one than Chrono Cross was for the PS1?

Nintendo announced today the old FF games are coming to virtual console later this year.

Nintendo announced today the old FF games are coming to virtual console later this year.But also why I posted about the new DS coming out without the old Gameboy Advance slot. People like me have the old GBA versions of the Final Fantasy V and VI (still the best one in my opinion-I still have my SNES copy with the amazing glitch for the island that gets me a ton of rare items, yeah I know E-Bay, but I just can't give it up). And speaking of NES and SNES, remember Secret of Mana, I loved that game, and it stands as an example of a series Square screwed up afterwords besides Crono Trigger. Not that they are alone in that regard...Phantasy Star anyone?

+1
I'd also have nominated it for the best soundtrack of any RPG in the MIDI age.
