This thread reminds me why I stopped listening to commercial radio years ago. It's not just Columbus, either. I travel a lot, and with the exception of NYC, LA and Toronto, the radio sucks everywhere else too. I'll listen to silence before I'll take my chances with commercial radio (though generally I can find a classical or NPR station).
This means that I can now listen to "Sweet Home Alabama" or "Been Caught Stealin" and appreciate it on it's own terms, and I've not heard a Red Hot Chili Peppers or Sarah McLachlan song in years.
I'm with osulew on the cockrock.. That stuff can die in a car fire along with trance and progressive house.
