At the top of my long list is 'Sweet Home Alabama' You can hear it simultaneously on at least five local stations and if you turn on the TV there was that annoying KFC commercial. The sheer amount of airplay has made this song completely intolerable. At the top of my Oldies list is a song called 'Bill' I don't know who sings it but it has the potential to make one fly off the handle instantly. It was used in a radio e-harmony commercial.

Anything by Owl City merits a swift kick to the face.

that whistling song they use in Extenze commercials. and i have a pavlovian response to the intro to "Under the Bridge" that causes me to uncontrollably reach for the dial and change it immediately

Anything by Jimmy Buffett. Heck, I'd probably pay $1000 just to never have to hear Margariattaville ever again.

"Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night"-- the most overplayed song of the past year

Any of the mopey, self-pitying songs from the 60s - 80s like Alone Again, Naturally or maybe Seasons in the Sun.

I'd also like to include anything by Nickleback, Staind, Buckcherry, Puddle of Mud, and anything else that might come from any other Rock on the Range kinda band and all of their ilk. Cock rock makes me want to die.

Most old Red Hot Chili Peppers songs. I used to love the band, but seriously, how can "Under the Bridge" still be getting airtime?
I hear it on CD101 every day, and I have to turn the station every time.

I hear it on CD101 every day, and I have to turn the station every time.+1 ... If you listen to 106.7 for an hour I promise you, you will hear a Red Hot Chili Peppers song. They have killed the band.
My picks (names might be off, but you know the song):
- Brick House
- YMCA
- Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night (huge +1 to that)
- Anything by James Taylor
- Anything by Alice in Chains
- Been Caught Stealing (way overplayed)... I could go on for a while on this one.

"Sister Christian" might be the worst song ever recorded, but, that's impossible to determine. The power of suck that this song possesses is awesome. Most hair band material of the 80s really, really sucks. I hated it, then. So, if I hear it, now, sometimes, something snaps in my brain and I think about killing the people who played it and stuffing them into trashcans at 3am.

I dunno. They offend my musical sensibilities more than my gender. They're just terrible.

I agree. I hate their lyrics with a passion though. Someone in that band has serious issues....
I think I would vote to never hear Celine Dion speak or sing again though.
