In this internet age, when I hear a song I like, it's usually pretty easy for me to find it --just note down a key phrase and google it. But every once in a while I come across a stumper. Here are a few songs I've never yet been able to track down --maybe one of my fellow music obsessives on here can help me out.
1. Just heard this announced as "new music" on CD102.5 It's a very produced, multi-layered retro-psychedelic sound, and I think a phrase near the beginning of the song was "like trash lying in the street", but google failed me, so it's either very obscure or so new that no-one has posted the lyrics anywhere yet.
2. This is a funky number with a gravelly voiced female singer reminiscent of Macy Gray or Betty Davis. I think the lyric is something like "oh baby, ooh baby, when I clap my hands you'll come to me".
3. This is an eccentric, extended, lyric-less acapella jam session. Reminded me a bit of Frank Zappa.
4. This is a close-harmonizing male folk group, sounds like CSNY or the Eagles doing "Seven Bridges", and I think they're singing about sunset and the seasons.
-------
I know there isn't much to go on in most of these --otherwise I'd have found them myself --but that's what makes the challenge fun, right?
Anyone else have elusive songs they are looking for?
