On the empty corner lot...any idea what's going on there tonight/ this weekend? They're setting up port-o-john's, etc..

I was thinking the same thing. Come on, someone on here surely knows something.

No clue, but I know that Middle West Distillery is doing their build-out. Could it be connected with their grand opening?

So they are doing vodka from local sourced wheat. Anyone know if some delicious brown liquor is in their plans?

They haven't really made much of an announcement yet. I've got an interview with them to reveal some details. Let me know if there are any other questions you guys have for them.

(PS: Not sure if that's what going on with the port-o-johns though)

This opening flew under my radar. I'm intrigued. Maybe they are having a beerfest for the opening to showcase their brew. If people drink alot, they are going to need those port-o-johns.
Side note: I really wish someone would develop that site and I don't mean a one story CVS. It is a huge eyesore and would be great for a residential midrise.

I'll wander down tomorrow and have a look..
lotw: I think they're going to do a whiskey, but not until they can get their production set up on their vodka. I met one of the guys last summer, but I've not spoken with him since.

There's already some pretty dense buildings on 3 corners of that intersection, we need to fill that gap

soon to be replaced by police sirens and the sounds of heavy metal...
(just kidding, I think this is a good event for the nieghborhood and Cbus in general. From what I have read, it is supposed to be a nice lineup. Of course everyone has their own cup of tea, but it is nice to see the Short North expand it's image. Personally, I want a beerfest)

It's a very smart location for anything from commercial to residential. To answer your question, whoever is willing to fix a blight for the common good.
