I was already scheduled to be off today, but I'm guessing a few folks might be in hiding from the snow...or maybe not.

I'm being all Rachel Ray and making homemade soup
and watching Planet Terror on DVD.
Anyone else doing something cool
(not that what I'm doing is at all cool, but you know what I'm saying)

Well, as usual I'm multi-tasking - wasting time on CU, working when necessary, reading Economics chapters for class tonight, and watching Breach. It pretty much means I'm doing nothing, but I look really busy.

No snow day for me. I drove from Westgate to New Albany this morning to work at Tween Brands. Took me a bit longer to get here. I hope the snow isn't bad when I'm coming back into the city tonight.

I drove from the Short North to Johnstown, the 8 miles up 62 was pretty slick. Slow going all the way, about 50 minutes. Not looking forward to heading back downtown.....

SN to Prickerington today was interesting. 70E was dead and not plowed, so it was 45mph the entire way.
Getting on the freeway was funny there on Third past Warren. I angled my truck perpendicular to the stopped trafic waiting to get up 71N to make my way to across those lanes to the 71S. Some folks enjoyed my audacious manuvering, others did not.

The main streets downtown are cool...just wet now. Your neighborhood however was a hot mess earlier. The lil' civic slid a good 6 feet or so stopping at Park and Buttles.
Wheeeeeee.
And sidenote...chicken dumpling conconction done.

I would love to be working inside 270 but sometimes opportunity takes you farther away than you wish. I never thought I would agree with Cyclist but when I used to work in Grandview I rode my bike to work and back all the time. I was a wimp when it came to weather but on a nice day I was always biking it back and forth to the Short North.

So money (oppurtunity) before principles eh? There are plenty of jobs in the city... I saw a sign at Skully's saying they are hiring cooks.
I plan on using this weather tonight to make a bunch of Valentine's to give out at Bristol Thursday night to all the Robot Rock regulars there. La Chewla is going to make cupcakes for them. In the spring I am bringing a grill to Bristol and set it on the deck and have a Thursday Night Picnic!
