Tires are important, true. Just saw too many people spinning out and/or atruggling with any sort of incline. Come on.
Also, wouldn't it be nice for some hmm mass transit right about now so the roadways weren't congested with drivers and plows could get through everything quickly? I digress.

On my wife's BMW even if you turn off the advanced traction control it's not really "off," which is so boring. It's nearly impossible to break traction in that car so even with it's RWD it's a breeze in the snow. I do put a set of winter wheels/tires on it, but I don't feel like they do too much.
The most fun I've had in the snow was with my old '86 S10 long bed, yeeehaw!

I love being able to fishtail down the street and do donuts in empty parking lots!

WESTERVILLE, Ohio- - Mount Carmel St. Ann’s emergency room filled with patients who slipped on the ice that formed below the snow on Friday.Staff said that they patched up between 20 and 30 people who came in with broken bones.
“On a usual day, probably one or two, maybe three at most, but today’s we’re probably 10 times that number or more with associated significant injuries,” said Frank Orth, an emergency physician at St. Ann’s.

I think might be just pressing the DTC button which leaves Dynamic Stability Control in place. To disable the DTS you have to hold DTC button for 3 seconds. Then you can release kraken! Hope it's a standard transmission. :)

Barbecuing pork chops, made the greens recipe that Snarf recommended, cornbread in the oven. Winter is fine with me.
