Bob, it's good to see you here!
OK folks, endorsement time: if you have even the smallest interest in self-publishing, comics, graphic novels, zines, prints, illustration, storytelling, DIY, or the arts in general, you owe it to yourself to check out S.P.A.C.E.!
This little show is truly a feather in the cap of Columbus' indie arts scene, and has grown from a small handful of exhibitors at the fairgrounds, to its current huge venue, 2-day show featuring around 150 exhibitors. This isn't a geek show for people to dress up as Superman or obsessively search for back issues of Marvel and DC comics. This is a show by and for self-publishers, indie writers and artists, and comix creators.
You'll find truly personal and unique books at SPACE. Hand crafted mini-comics, silk screened covers, limited edition hand-bound books, and subject matter covering all there is under the sun, from slice of life, autobiographical, and politics, to humor, historical, fantasy, romance, and every other genre you can think of. Plus, there will be dozens of local Columbus creators exhibiting their comix and zines at the show.
Plus, tickets are super cheap! Trust me, you won't be disappointed. But if you are, just stop by my table (Dara Naraghi/Ferret Press) and I'll give you a free comic for your troubles.
Long live S.P.A.C.E.
