My teen sister is coming to visit and, being new here myself, I'd like ideas on where to take her. No particular likes or dislikes, and we've got about 3 days. I believe I've thought of the more obvious options (e.g. Franklin Park Conservatory, Shadowbox, OSU, Cosi, parks), so I'd love to get more unusual suggestions on what she/we might enjoy.

Well, I certainly vote for Shadowbox, but I'm a little biased.

Campus. Teens are always impressed by universities.
Be the cool sibling and take her to some seedier parts of town. Buy her some wine and have a nice chat about the real world while walking down the street.

It's probably one of the obvious ones you've already thought of, but there's always the zoo.
While (if) you're on campus, I'd also add The Wexner Center.
If she's into books, I think she'd also enjoy The Book Loft and The Village Bookstore (there are other bookstores in town, but those are the two most distinctive ones).

What age? I know you said teen, but 14? 19?
Easton is kind of an obvious option, as it is a zombie land of teenagers. I went to see the bald eagles at the whatchmacallit park up in Worthington? Westerville? and that was awesome. Highly recommend. Short North in general seems like a hit.

Not really her thing, but good thought.

If she likes natural scenery...Hayden Falls, and Alum Creek State Park, they have a beach there. And then when your done with the nature, come back into the city and go to the North Market/Short North! I took one of my foreign friends on that adventure, and she was quite thrilled. :)

I'm an Aunt to 2 teens and have had many local adventures.
Favorite Parks: Antrim Park/Lake, Hayden Falls, Indian Run Falls, Highbanks
Downtown: Take in a movie at the Arena Grand and field seats at a Clipper's Game. Get around town with the Short North Bike Share, EveryoneBikes and/or check out the SegAway tours of Columbus.
Also, Columbus has the #1 rated library system, so plenty to explore at the Main Library (or any branch).
ETA I should not leave out the new urban Scioto Audubon MetroPark There is even a rock climbing wall if you have the equipment and belay certification.
ETA,2: Oh, she's into a shopping vacation? Well that is definitely out of my interest and expertise areas. Good luck!

If you are going to do shopping, maybe check out some of the local retail threads here on CU and get some ideas. Why take her to another shopping mall when you can take her to some really fun, unique local places?

Also, Boomerang Room if you're in the area.

The zoo is big, and it takes a lot of time and walking to take it all in.
You might park somewhere central in German Village, then walk around to check out houses and gardens, and places like bookstores, cafes, etc., maybe pass through Schiller Park.
You can also walk around the downtown riverfront, but a lot of that is under construction. Come back in two years or so and it should be sweet. You could at least combine a bit of that with a visit to COSI without moving the car.
If you're willing to drive an hour or so out of town, there's Hocking Hills to the south, or Amish country to the north and east. To the east, there's Dawes Arboretum and the goofy Longaberger basket office building in Newark, plus the Longaberger gift shops if you're into that. To the west is Yellow Springs, and Clifton Gorge and Clifton Mill.
Unfortunately it's the wrong season to take her to U-Pick orchards and such, it's great to show someone how you can pick fruit off the tree and eat it. For peaches, bring napkins.
