We're beta testing the new skreened site. It's up at
beta.skreened.net
There are a few known issues, but if you have time, we would love your feedback.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
1. create an account
2. upload designs, try it out, edit your account, and try everything you can think of.
3. make notes and email me (daniel@skreened.com) or post them here.
Be harsh, if anything is confusing, unclear, unattractive, unusable, stupid or broken make a note.

Okay, so I made a new store James Traficant.
Compared to using the other side of the site, I have some opinions:
1. Wonderful RESTful URI's there, buddy boy. Great job.
2. Thank you so much for ditching the rotating favicon.
3. Works really well... same simplicity as the other side, but does the right thing with no surprises... well done. It certainly shows a refinement of the operation of the site instead of a bloated mess an "upgrade" usually provides.
4. Front and back?! Way cool.
5. Nice eye-catching modern design.
6. I dunno... I guess I have nothing but praise. It is all setup around getting the job done, being a social portal to spawn something from.
... Sorry I don't have much critique or point out something you screwed up... perhaps that's all in the old site, but NOT here. Well done.

Great redesign!
I like the functionality of the site - there's only one section I'd make any changes to. I'd change the title of the "Discover" section to something like "Browse." It's just a more traditional term for viewing things you can buy, whereas Discover made me think I would be learning more about your business.
Once you're on the "Discover" page, I'd also give people a few more preset search options, like "election 08," "animals" etc, just to give a first time user a flavor of what those 3,377 designs include without sifting through several pages of general results. The tag cloud at the bottom does that, but I might make that more prominent on that primary search page.
Overall, great job! A redesign is tough to do well, and I think you did it!

This awesome. The ability to place your images is PERFECT! I needed that. The ability to do multiple images, again, PERFECT. And both sides? You got it. Here's some things I noticed:
1. Required fields. The bold for required doesn't do it for me. I don't read instructions, so I like the normal red asterics. Also, if you submit and you didn't fill out a field, you lose everything.
2. When you want to use an image more than once, you click on it, right? Not 100% sure there was some odd stuff going on when I clicked on it. But I just figured that out based on the URL and by playing. It would be better to just have a "copy" or "re-use" link by remove maybe?
3. If possible, being able to use the entire shirt as a canvas would be nice, but I know a PIA.
I couldn't find a whole lot else. This the perfect succession to the current site I think.

Hi Daniel,
Just tried a quick proof-of-concept for a shirt I have in mind on this, and I noticed two things. One, a lot of the t-shirts look like the same t-shirt: the pale tan one that shows up when you first start your design. I tried switching to the ring tee and got the same preview, e.g. Some looked different but most looked the same. Second, I had a lot of trouble dragging the design around -- this in Camino v1.5.5, which is a native OS X browser put out by the Mozilla project. Normally I wouldn't mention it because I hate "Your cutting-edge website doesn't work with my stupid / obscure / outdated browser" comments (especially coughInternetExplorercough), but Camino runs the same Gecko rendering engine as a lot of other Mozilla project stuff, so this might be something to keep an eye out for. I switched to Firefox v2.0.0.13, and the dragging problem disappeared, but I still get the same-preview thing going on.

we haven't added all the products in for preview, so that's expected.
the dragging problem i haven't heard, so i'm gonna get camino and explore it. thanks man!

I just looked around for a few, this is a very nice site. One thing I noticed, the box for How Skreened Works has links that don't work. Upload a picture, Find Out More and so on don't take you anywhere but look like they should.

FYI, so others don't report the same bug: the problem mentioned above does have an impact on Firefox as well as Camino, but, as Daniel pointed out, things only get messed up when the little colored box in the upper-left corner of the preview window is white.

Or maybe new Skreened onesie model? Would be very very cute -- and the current onesie model's proportions, at least in the current shot, are surprisingly adult. (And the lighting makes it look kinda like a mug shot from juvie, actually, now that I take a closer look....)
