I really like your “cancelled too soon” list. There’s a lot of those hidden gems out there, Huff was just awesome. Here’s another one, dig it up, its old but was way ahead of its time.

Yeah, you really do. Everyone does. But start at the beginning, don’t jump in…

The original British version of Shameless is awesome! It’s on Hulu and Netflix. I haven’t had a chance to watch the American version yet.

Couple new ones to keep an eye on are The Following and Banshee.

The Following is Kevin Bacon’s new show, very Silence of the Lambs style. Super smart, charismatic serial killer escapes prison, Kevin Bacon was the agent who caught him originally. The twist is, the killer had built a network of serial killers via his visits to the law library, and has put a pretty ambitious plan in motion for revenge.

Watched this last night. I don’t get too wrapped up in any TV shows, but this one was legit fucking creepy. when they found that cult house…yikes. I honestly thought the gore and scare factor would have given this an R-rating were it on the big screen. Pity to any 6 year old kid that happens to be hiding behind the couch when mom and dad are watching this. I mean, Dr. Who and Twilight Zone were enough to traumatize me in that scenario.

Yep GR, and you get the “anyone can die” feel on the show too. Maggie Grace was in the pilot, playing the sole survivor of the dude’s killing rampage when Bacon caught him. Typically, at least on TV, that’s a character who will live (plus played by a somewhat major star). Yep, not so much.

Just watched the first episode of The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret last night. So far, so good.

It gets a lot quirkier as it moves along, maybe a little too contrived. Arrested Develoopment walked the line much better.

I watched the whole first season of Todd Margaret. Fun concept, and David Cross is great, but I agree that it did feel a bit contrived in points. It was also borderline cringeworthy in parts where I could barely stand to watch him dig himself deeper into holes. Sort of like Curb your Enthusiasm, but a little more surreal?

Just finished episode 1 of The Following.

    I’m sold. Quality stuff.

Glad I glanced over the big spoilers above. :)

LOL! Yeah, I thought about that after posting it.

Am I right though? TOTALLY expected her to be a main character in the show. Only reason I had any doubt is she’s a regular on Californication this season too.

OH…almost forgot…apparently Josh Whedon is doing TV again in the form of an Avengers spinoff, S.H.I.E.L.D and that would be the thing I’m most interested in for 2013.

Really didn’t expect to see him homesick/crying 10 minutes into the 2nd episode…

I really like An Idiot Abroad, but it’s coming to an end.
