Looking forward to it! :D

I suppose it's not a festival, exactly. There will be a DJ on one end, a live band on the other. Plan your costumes!

Oh, oh, oh...I liiiiiiiike this.

sweeet.
Anyone else interested in an Arrested Development group costume?

Gob, George Sr., Lindsay, Tobias, Michael, Lucille, George Michael, Maeby, and Buster ... you know you can't resist! We can even throw in secondary characters like Carl Weathers and Bob Loblaw.

Oooh, I'm SO there. Maybe I'll even bring back the schoolgirl outfit and pigtails.

It should be a lot like Columbus Underground. The more people that participate - many in disguise - the more interesting it gets!

Sounds like a lot of fun!
though if i run into that freaky-ass clown thing in the lead post... i'm not so sure....

It's a masquerade. It will be more glamorous than spooky. I forgot to mention this is the first annual HighBall. Let's make the first one great so that subsequent years' really blow up!

I'm still down if Mellotron and FightingLibrarian want to go as The Young Ones.
As long as I get to be Neil

OMG can I be Vyvyan???
(The other costume I was thinking of really does have a mask... this sounds like so much fun!)

Yeah.. Michael Coyote and I think we need to have British TV
night soon.
You should be Vyvian... it would be the sex, as they might say in the UK. If someone could be Noel Fielding, it would be even better
I'll be Neil, though, that way no one would listen to me... "just like a Leonard Cohen record... I'm just going out into the garden to kill myself, would anyone like some lentils?".
Seriously, though, if anyone could dress like this, I'd be so much obliged:

I was so addicted to the Young Ones.

this sounds like a blast. Hope to hear more details soon

Charly is henceforth invited to British TV night.
...and don't forget, until we hear from Mellotron, we're still in the market for a Rick and a Mike.

This will be like the Boulder Mall Crawl!!!!! I love Columbus more and more every day!!!!

The organizing committee is meeting once a week and I'll try to have more tomorrow night.
At the West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval they claim to get 300,000 people!
Check out the wild photos

Is there any plan yet on how long this will last?
As I work until midnight that night, this sounds like fun would enjoy doing this if anything will be still going on then?
I'll have to start planning a costume. Unless my bus trip to Chicago decides upon headless horseman or something.

Approximately 6pm to sometime no later than Midnight. (There is a municipal requirement at play here for street parties. ) The goal is that the party disperses into your favorite bars and clubs in the neighborhood. (Some of which may have their own costume contests later!)
