You bet it is. Though the one I remember even more than that is the one where he broke down in a fit of spittle-spitting rage and melodramatic, teary-eyed blubbering when one of his own Republican party mates suggested redirecting the hundreds of millions he earmarked for his Bridge to Nowhere to Gulf Coast reconstruction after Katrina.

I've been to where they want to build that bridge. It's actually a "bridge to the airport", but dang thats one hell of a waterway to try to bridge! Might be cheaper just to rebuild the town on the other side. :shock:

Yikes. It must have been a pretty solid case. The prosecution seemed a little inept, and still convictions on seven counts. My guess is that he's hoping to win re-election narrowly so Sarah Palin can appoint a fill-in (assuming she's not then Vice President.) I think Todd Palin would be available.

EDIT: Whoops - didn't re-read gram's original post. There's no shortage of crazies in the Senate. The sergeant at arms will still have to crush up pills to put in the applesauce of many an officeholder.
