This could actually wind up being a bit of subtle good publicity for Columbus. I could see a lot of blogs picking something like that up as an amusing story about Google screwing up a bit. Someone just needs to make sure that the location these blogs use to illustrate it shows off the city really well.
If you could show the world one corner in Columbus, what would it be?
